Upcoming PD Webinars:

  • UNCONSCIOUS BIAS - DEHR Antiracism and Antioppression Speaker Series - on Friday, April 23 2021 at 6:30-8:30pm. This session will examine some of the ways in which we consciously and unconsciously include/exclude others. Through Dr Tanya De Mello’s address, participants will better understand some of the biases they may be holding that affect their decisions, their team choices and dynamic and who they select, ranging from recruitment to performance evaluations to who is mentored and for what positions. Bias also influences how we advise and coach people in any given situation.THIS WEBINAR WILL NOT BE RECORDED.

  • ALLYSHIP - DEHR Antiracism and Antioppression Speaker Series - on Saturday, April 24 2021 at 2:30 - 3:30pm. What does it mean to be an ally? How do we support others who are under-represented in the smallest of actions as well as in the ways in which we mentor, hire, promote and support colleagues? Dr Tanya De Mello will address what it means to be seen as an ally to the person and will challenge us to move beyond awareness and reading articles and watching movies to taking action and doing the work every day. This will challenge us to speak up, but not speak for others and to take risks where we have power and privilege in a situation to make sure others are seen and heard.THIS WEBINAR WILL NOT BE RECORDED.
